The website for Housing Opportunities Made Equal (HOME) was several years old and in the need for a facelift. The team at HOME was not proud of their current site and wanted something that told their story in a more compelling way. They were familiar with Squarespace but wanted help initiating the website layout and choosing a template that best represented their brand.

PROBLEM

The HOME website was just not engaging. There were layout issues and it wasn’t optimized for mobile. 

APPROACH

Big Shifter had a discovery kickoff meeting with the HOME team to help document the full scope of the project. Big Shifter worked with the HOME team to determine everything they needed and to prioritize communication and identify project and team leaders.

SOLUTION

Big Shifter used a Quick Site product to quickly set up as site and customize it to the HOME’s business requirements. The first template that was chosen didn’t quite suit their needs and so Big Shifter chose another Squarespace template that highlighted their brand colors. Big Shifter configured several functionalities such as third party integrations, online forms, carousel sliders, and event calendars. Big Shifter also created some custom JavaScript to enable some functionality.

SUMMARY

• Allows HOME staff to easily create and manage content independent of a developer.
