Sodfarm Festival grows a new website for a relaunched annual event

The Sodfarm Festival was a staple of local events in Sheridan Wyoming for some time. The event was suspended for a few years but in 2021, a group of people came together to reboot the event for the community in 2022. The branding and graphics were already established but needed a refresh. As well, a new website was envisioned to get the word out about the music festival.

APPROACH

Big Shifter was a part of the planning of the festival from the beginning. We were involved in the branding adjustments, t-shirt design, print media design and development as well as digital branding messaging. We created a website that would be a new, clean design focused on the event’s non-profit music festival fund-raising messaging.

SOLUTION

We set up a WordPress website on Big Shifter’s Hosting platform that includes nightly backups, code optimization and caching and website monitoring and reporting. We manage the content of the site as well and perform updates as needed.

Big Shifter Launches New Yellowstone Track Systems Website

Yellowstone Track Systems has been a premier supplier of snow track grooming systems in the United States with customers all over the world, their website, built on another platform was underperforming and was not flexible enough for the shipping needs of their customers. Big Shifter worked with Yellowstone Track System’s staff to build a new site with customized shipping elements.

APPROACH

Over several meetings with the Yellowstone team, Big Shifter developed a scope of work that updated their design, optimized their online order workflow, and worked with developers of a popular shipping solution to add the requirements of our client. Shipping requirements were complex based on the fact that Yellowstone Track had large freight requirements that made their site more complex than most standard e-commerce websites.

SOLUTION

The WordPress platform was chosen as the Content Management System (CMS) and Big Shifter is the hosting provider for the websites. The theme was implemented with their branding customizations as well as proper site plugins researched, tested, and installed.

Legacy Diamond and Gems Launches a New Website

CHALLENGE

Completed Website Design

Legacy Diamond and Gems, a premier custom jeweler in Sheridan Wyoming had a problem; they were paying way too much per month for a website hosting service that was not working for them. Big Shifter met with the Legacy team to find out what their “pain points” were and how we could help them out. It turns out they wanted to migrate their e-commerce website from their current hosting provider to a new WordPress website. In addition, they wanted to refresh their theme and remove many of the 1,400 products that were automatically imported for them from a third-party service.

APPROACH

Big Shifter created a development site on Big Shifter’s hosting platform and used that site to import their catalog of products and implement a designed theme that suited the branding needs of Legacy Diamond and Gems. Once the requirements were collected, Big Shifter went to work on the new site.

SOLUTION

We migrated their old WordPress-based site to a new WordPress website installation with many best practice plugins and functionality that would benefit their site. We integrated several third-party vendors into Legacy’s website in order to provide better services to their customers. Working with Legacy’s staff, Big Shifter created a site architecture that achieved their business goals. As a result of our work with their team, a new theme was implemented, staff members were trained and ready to manage content and a more manageable catalog of products was put in place.

Greybull Economic Development New Website Project

CHALLENGE

Greybull Wyoming Economic Development needed a new website and they needed it quickly. They had a hosting provider, a WordPress install but they needed Big Shifter’s expertise to implement the correct configuration, plugins, and theme design to ensure that the site met their marketing and branding goals.

APPROACH

Big Shifter met with the Greybull team to make sure that the project approach was within their business requirement needs. We began the project and kept the team involved and communicated with them throughout the website’s development and design.

SOLUTION

We created a WordPress website within their Bluehost hosting environment. We installed our recommended best practice plugins into their site and configured it to run as efficiently as possible on their hosting provider. We launched the site on time and within the client’s specifications. We also designed a new logo for the Greybull Economic Development Office to be used on the website.

Project Schoolhouse Site Redesign

CHALLENGE

Project Schoolhouse is a non-profit organization that helps communities in rural Nicaragua build schools, water-wells, and latrines to benefit children and their families. They knew they needed a new website to tell their story and be more in line with their messaging and marketing efforts.

APPROACH

Big Shifter met with the team several times during the Discovery phase of the project. Workshops and lengthy discussions were managed to create a business requirements document. Once the document was completed and approved, we worked with the Project Schoolhouse team to select a designed template and start customizing the site.

SOLUTION

We created a new WordPress site on a development server that was safe for the team to use. Design, Content Management, and Functionality implementation was accomplished on this development server until it was ready to launch. Big Shifter helped the Project Schoolhouse team with technical domain name configuration and website configuration. Once the site was built to suit the approved business requirements, it was ready to launch.
