Sodfarm Festival grows a new website for a relaunched annual event

The Sodfarm Festival was a staple of local events in Sheridan Wyoming for some time. The event was suspended for a few years but in 2021, a group of people came together to reboot the event for the community in 2022. The branding and graphics were already established but needed a refresh. As well, a new website was envisioned to get the word out about the music festival.

APPROACH

Big Shifter was a part of the planning of the festival from the beginning. We were involved in the branding adjustments, t-shirt design, print media design and development as well as digital branding messaging. We created a website that would be a new, clean design focused on the event’s non-profit music festival fund-raising messaging.

SOLUTION

We set up a WordPress website on Big Shifter’s Hosting platform that includes nightly backups, code optimization and caching and website monitoring and reporting. We manage the content of the site as well and perform updates as needed.

The Mane Event Website Roars Back To Life With Big Shifter’s Help

The Mane Event is a gravel bike event that acts as the main fundraiser for the Sheridan Sundowners Lions Club’s. Their previous website and branding just weren’t doing enough for the organization to get the word out about their event. Big Shifter met with the Lions Club team and we formulated a plan for a new logo, branding and accompanying website.

The Mane Event Gravel Grinder New Website

APPROACH

Big Shifter met the Sundowners club to talk in detail about what they wanted from their brand and the event itself. Sheridan Wyoming offers some of the best gravel roads to ride on in the United States and the Mane Event Gravel Grinder website needed to reflect this.

SOLUTION

The old site was managed on GoDaddy and was a site that was put together by the organization using their best efforts. Big Shifter proposed hosting the site on the Squarespace CMS platform which would be easier to maintain and provides some out of the box functionality they wanted. In addition Big Shifter provided a new logo and branding guide for the group that will be used for future printing and merchandise.

Tomahawk Pipeline New Website Launch

Tomahawk Pipeline Construction was in a pickle. Their old website was not available to them, and they could not get a hold of their old design firm. In time, they were able to get their domain name transferred to them, but they were out of luck with their website and had to start over.

APPROACH

Because the old website was lost, Big Shifter started fresh with Tomahawk Pipeline staff. After a few meetings, it was determined that the site needed to be informational, conservative in its approach, and nothing flashy.

SOLUTION

Big Shifter set up a Squarespace website solution and implemented a design that reflected the desired requirements of the company. Through several meetings, Tomahawk Pipeline staff gave input and feedback to Big Shifter concerning their desired changes. Once those requirements were in place, the site was ready to launch.

Truthfully, if anyone has the right to be frustrated it is the Big Shifter team. We had lots of delays due to personal issues, but Erik was incredibly understanding and patient with us throughout the entire process. I can not imagine things going as smoothly had we worked with someone else.

The Dead Swede Resurrects Their New Big Shifter Designed Website.

The Dead Swede is a gravel bike event in northern Wyoming in a small city named Sheridan. Over the years the event has become a nationally popular event with riders coming from all over the country. They asked Big Shifter to update their website to deliver a more professional and organized message to their participants.

APPROACH

Big Shifter met with John and Jordan at Black Tooth Brewery in Sheridan Wyoming to discuss what they were looking for in a new website. Discussions ranged from branding and design to their competitors and future aspirations for the event. Big Shifter put a plan in action and submitted those ideas to them and it was decided to move forward with the project.

SOLUTION

The old site was managed on GoDaddy and was a bit difficult to manage and there was very old content on the site as well which needed to be replaced. Big Shifter proposed hosting the site on the Squarespace CMS platform. We brought in fresh imagery, authored new content, and gave the website a more clear message to its users.

Big Shifter launches a new website for The Camerata Singers nonprofit organization

Camerata Singers of Goshen Indiana is a dedicated group of vocal artists that “…is a professional choral ensemble, offering captivating programming and world-class singing to its audiences. They approached Big Shifter a few years ago to update their aging website with a new and fresh design. Their aging site was not representing their brand well and was not mobile device friendly.

APPROACH

After gathering requirements during a kickoff meeting. Big Shifter got to work meeting with the Camerata Singers staff to flesh out the imagery and content for the site. There was an organization rename and re-branding effort in the works as well and Bigshifter led with many ideas for the site. But what we weren’t ready for was the COVID issue. The Camerata Singers 2020 season was canceled and therefore the site project was put on hold.

SOLUTION

The Squarespace platform was chosen as the Content Management System (CMS) and hosting provider for the site. A new theme was created for the website and the Camerata Singer staff had input on the site branding and its content. Big Shifter held several workshop meetings with the client to teach them how to manage content, organize imagery and manage their events. We launched the site just before their Fall 2021 season and the site was a hit with the organization and its patrons.
